Book repair and restoration is a staple of Ira's business, having trained extensively in that field. He produces fine bound books, boxes and portfolios and also does edition binding and artists books. Ira is an exhibiting member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and his work has been shown in galleries, juried competitions, and purchased by corporate private collectors across the country. Ira also works for the film industry designing and constructing period bindings. His film credits include books for Iron Jawed Angels (HBO) The Alamo (Disney) and The New World (new Line Productions).
